​As a certified and skilled music educator, Lynne's love for singing knows no bounds. In 1997, she obtained her BEd (Hons) in Music, with a focus on vocal performance, solidifying her passion for the craft. Since then, she has shared her expertise with students of various ages in Scotland, England, and the United States.

 

Since she was young, Lynne loved to sing and perform, beginning with school and local choirs, before going on to sing at a national level as a teenager.  Alongside this, Lynne enjoyed being on stage and joined her local amateur operatic society.  Here, Lynne could incorporate her love of singing with acting and was a soloist, a chorus member and took on some acting roles. It was during this time, and to develop her voice and learn correct vocal technique, Lynne started both singing and speech and communication lessons (or as it was known in the old days "elocution" lessons) and gained various medals and certificates. 

 

The knowledge and skills that Lynne acquired from both areas have proven to have been invaluable throughout her professional life and not just within within her 25 years of teaching in the secondary school classroom, but also as a peripatetic singing teacher in secondary schools, as a vocal tutor at university, and also through giving presentations, job interviews, speaking in public and building relationships.

 

As a singing tutor and voice coach, Lynne aims to bring out the best in her students, inspiring them to love music and the power of communication so they are able to perform at their peak, achieving their true potential and build confidence.  Some of Lynne's past students have pursued higher education opportunities in university and performing arts schools.

Lynne is a member of the Independent Society of Musicians (ISM) and the Association of Teachers of Singing (AOTOS).
